Senior Process Design Engineer (Wilmington, DE or Columbus, OH) - Career Concepts, Incorporate.

This Senior Process Design Engineering role can be based in Columbus, OH or Wilmington, DE (relocation is offered). You would support multiple capital projects simultaneously (typical project size is $5-10 million) You will assist manufacturing facilities to develop new processes and improve current operations. (includes the upgrade-expansion of existing facilities, as well as integration of acquired facilities). This role will prepare project scope packages and formal engineering design packages for the process portion of capital projects, develop process and equipment engineering procedures and standards, conduct process engineering analysis and studies, prepare reports, and provide economically supported process recommendations. The role frequently includes commissioning and start-up support activities during capital project execution. This job involves approximately 30% domestic and international travel. The role is broken down accordingly: 30-40% - Math and Energy Balances-Process Equipment Specifications-Process Safety 10-15% - 3rd Party Engineering Design Work 5-10% - Vendor interaction-selection-management 5-10% - Instrumentation (related to automation) Design 5-10% - Field construction, commissioning, and start up BS or MS in Chemical Engineering is required along 5-10+ years of Process Design Engineering experience in the chemical manufacturing industry is preferred. Must have experience designing process systems, developing process flow diagrams, developing piping and instrumentation diagrams. Hands-on field experience in manufacturing plants with process equipment commissioning, start- up, performance testing, and troubleshooting activities. Familiarity with process simulation software, DCS, PLC, or single loop control systems, a plus. International experience in China, Europe, or South America is also a plus. Interested?
